Before you can move forward with a Detailed Blog & Business Audit, you must book a Free Mini Blog Audit first.
Detailed Blog & Business Audit$795 *
(If at the end of your Blog Audit… you’re not 100% Satisfied, I’ll refund you.)
When you initially book your Detailed Blog & Business Audit with me, I’ll immediately send you over a questionnaire.
I want you to take your time and be as detailed as possible on that questionnaire while getting it back to me as soon as possible. Yeah, total oxymoron, I know.
The more detailed you are and the more information I have from your questionnaire… the better your audit will be. What that means is, I won’t have to waste our time together asking questions I should already have a good foundational answer to.
Detailed Blog & Business Audit
Your Detailed Blog & Business Audit is extraordinarily in-depth. Your video conference call with me will last for a solid 4 hours and is broken down into 6 Parts:
- All About You and Your Business
- SEO Audit Report
- Content Audit
- Making Money Audit
- Business Strategy Plan
- Questions & Answers
Our first call together will be the most in-depth and deep call we have. This call is broken down into 6 parts and will last a solid 4 hours (no worries, we can totally take breaks).
This is a completely unrushed call we’ll be on together. I don’t want you to feel like you must rush to get off the phone. I block out ample time for you and our call. If we go over our allotted time, we go over… if we finish faster, that’s totally cool too. I want to make sure you have absolutely no worries about anything to do with time.
I really want you to feel comfortable and relaxed. And most importantly, I want you to fully understand everything we’re going over. This is all very important information.
At our scheduled time, we’ll have a video conference call where I’ll share my computer screen with you. We’ll both wear earbuds with a microphone, plugged into our respective computers. There’s no need to be fancy; I use the ones that came with my phone. And you’ll have a pencil and paper handy to take notes and to write questions down as we go along.
Part 1: All About You and Your Business
I want to truly understand where you’re coming from. We’ll discuss your goals, wants and needs. We also go over the answers to your questionnaire.
This is where you’re going to let me know where you’re at in life. From telling me your goals, what makes you happy, time management, content schedule and so much more.
Part 2: SEO Audit Report
I believe everyone who has a website and blog should know and understand basic search engine optimization. You should know what meta descriptions, redirects and alt text are and why they’re important. And if you don’t, that’s okay… I’m totally stoked to teach you.
Most people I talk to didn’t start off doing proper basic SEO on their blogs. I didn’t. And it’s not because you’re lazy, it’s because you didn’t or don’t know good SEO practices. And that’s okay.
I’m super stoked to share with you what I know about SEO and to share with you some great resources I’ve come across on my journey.
The SEO Audit Report I run on your site covers some basic SEO Factors that I feel are pretty easy for people to fix on their own. And I do touch on some website issues where you may have to hire a technical expert or you might need to get a new plugin.
What’s important is, we’ll go through the different sections of the SEO Audit Report so you can understand what each section means. And more importantly, know what to do about it.
Part 3: Content Audit
We’re going to dive deep into the type and style of the content you are creating and the formats you’re putting it out on. We will walk through many of the pages, posts, tags and categories of your website. We’ll also dive into your social media content.
I won’t pull any punches… and if your content sucks, I’ll let you know it does… and more importantly, tell you how to fix it. Most people write just for SEO or just for themselves. For the business of blogging, that’s wrong. You need to write for the reader and for their user experience while implementing search engines’ best practices.
Some of the things we’ll look at are:
- Google Analytics.
- A quick overview of important things you should look at.
- Google Search Console.
- One of the most important tools in your arsenal.
- Spelling, grammar, punctuation.
- Yes, they matter.
- Proper use of H2, H3, H4 and paragraphs.
- I have a super-easy way to help you remember how to use these properly.
- Making sure your content is valuable.
- We’ll talk about what fluff is, why not to use it and what to replace it with.
- We’ll look at your website layout.
- As your blog grows, you’re going to need a way to manage everything, a poor layout will make that very difficult.
- Making sure you have your pages, categories and tags set up efficiently.
- Many people can do this so much better.
- We’ll talk about keyword and keyphrase usage.
- There’s a fine line between proper keyword usage and keyword stuffing.
- We’ll go over your social media and figure out what’s working best for you and fine-tune your strategy around that.
- Often people are overwhelmed by Social Media, no worries. We’ll talk about how to properly distribute content and how to get engagement.
To get readers, followers and viewers… you have to pay with time, money or a combination of both. One of the most important things we’ll discuss is Organic Reach VS Paid Advertising and how they work together.
Part 4: Making Money Audit
If your blog is not making money, it’s a hobby. And if your blog is making some money, but not enough for you to go full time on it… congratulations, you have a hobby that helps to pay for itself.
I feel every business needs a minimum of 4 Pillar Streams of income. And we’re going to dive into what that means to your blog and business. Some of the areas we’ll cover are:
1. Selling Products and/ or Services
- Do you need to sell a product or service?
- The answer to that question is a resounding “YES.”
- If you already have a product or service, we’re going to dive into why it isn’t converting or growing the way you would like it to.
- If you don’t have a product or service, that’s okay… we’re going to speak about retail arbitrage or having you create your own.
- Does having a membership for your business make sense?
2. Affiliate Marketing
I love affiliate marketing. We’ve sold hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions of dollars, of items over the past 12+ years. And we’ve received substantial affiliate commissions from them.
There are always things all of us can do to help increase our affiliate sales. Some of the things we’ll cover are:
- Evaluating your affiliate programs and how they’re converting.
- Making sure you’re following the Terms of Service of your affiliates.
- Evaluating your newsletter.
There are some solid “dos” and a huge amount of “don’ts” in affiliate marketing… unfortunately most people partake in a huge amount of don’ts. We are going to look at what you’re doing right now and see if we can improve it.
3. Sponsored Content
We do amazingly well with sponsored content. That’s because we provide extreme value. And we’ll discuss this in-depth.
10 years ago, we started reviewing sponsored items for free. Then it grew to $20 for a sponsored post. Now we get paid 4 to 5 figures for sponsored content. We work with both Blog Networks and directly with Brands.
I have a way of presenting proposals to Brands that has been extraordinarily successful for us and I’ll share that with you. We’re going to discuss what you’re doing on the sponsored content front and what you can do better.
4. Ad Revenue
Ad revenue is awesome. Love it.
We’ve been collecting ad revenue for over a decade now. The fact of the matter is, not all ads are good nor is all of the advice from your ad network. You have to be smart with your ad placement.
I’m going to share with you what has made a tremendous difference in our income when it comes to using ads and ad networks. I have some great resources I can’t wait to share with you that should totally boost your ad game. We look at where you’re losing money and try to fix that.
Ultimately, during the Making Money Audit, we’re going to explore many different ways that you can potentially generate an income utilizing your blog.
Part 5: Business Strategy Plan
Creating the Business Strategy Plan is the most important part of the entire Detailed Blog & Business Audit. This is where we address your time management.
And I have a secret to share with you… the vast majority of people suck with time management. And that’s okay. Your strategic plan will be personalized to you and your business.
By this point, we will have gone over a lot of information… we’ll have a giant list of things you need to work on.
This is where most other audits stall.
If I just left you with a giant list of things to do, most likely you will have a difficult time prioritizing what to work on and when.
- When do you work on your blog fixes?
- When do you work on new content creation?
- When do you work on marketing?
- What do you work on 1st?
- How do you manage a healthy work/ life balance?
I know bloggers who are still working on outdated lists from audits they got over 2 years ago. That is not productive.
Together, you and I will develop a business strategy plan for you to improve your SEO issues, fix your blog and fix your Social Media while putting you on track to be more productive.
Wouldn’t it be nice to know where you’d like your business to be and how to accomplish that over the next year… while having a roadmap with timelines on what to do and how to do it?
Putting your happiness first is the first priority on your blog. And stress does not typically equate to happiness.
All too often I see bloggers sacrifice their happiness for their business and dude… it shouldn’t be that way. Owning your own business is supposed to be fun. You should be blogging because you enjoy it.
You and I will work together to make sure your Business Strategy Plan fits into your life and into your schedule.
Part 6: Q & A
The final part of our time together will be me answering all of your questions. I want to make sure I have answers to all of your questions before we get off of our video call.
After the Video Conference Call
We’re not done yet. I have a lot more to do for you. This is where the real value of your blog audit comes into play.
After our call, your head is going to be spinning. You are going to have so many things that you want to accomplish and you will feel like you have information overload.
Of course, you will have taken notes throughout the call, but you are not going to take notes on everything nor are you going to remember everything.
When we end our video conference call, I will have a solid foundation for your Business Strategy Plan. I then sit down and put a lot of work, coupled with an amazing amount of time, energy and effort into breaking it down it into easily actionable steps.
- I write up a recap of the key points of our conversation as well as a list of any resources I’m turning you on to.
- I prepare your Business Strategy Plan.
- I prepare your Day-to-Day Plan.
- I prepare a copy of your SEO Audit Report.
- Since I record all of my video calls, it just makes sense that I send you over a copy of the call so you can save it and rewatch your blog audit back at your leisure.
I will get your follow-up email with a recap, video and resources over to you as soon as I possibly can. This usually takes about 24-48 hours.
Mastermind Group Access
We will have spent a solid 4 hours together on your blog audit and business consultation. You will get your followup email… and then, you’ll have questions. For the next 30 days, I’m here to help you in a very personal way.
The first way is, you will have lifetime access to my Mastermind Group. In the Mastermind Group, I answer all of your questions and you’ll have access to exclusive content. Not to mention, you’ll get to know some other amazing bloggers and business owners in the group.
